Heather Shoemaker, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of multilingual customer support technology company Language I/O, will speak to University of Wyoming MBA students Friday, October 12th. Shoemaker will present as a guest speaker for the Executive Speaker Series, a monthly presentation series that is part of the University of Wyoming MBA program’s emphasis on Experiential Learning.
Heather’s organization, Language I/O, is a women-owned software company that offers a suite of products allowing support teams from all over the world to communicate with customers in any language. Before co-founding Language I/O, Heather was director of product management and globalization for a component of Pearson Education online, was part owner of Lingoport, a Boulder, Colo.-based software internationalization firm, and has worked in a variety of corporate environments as a software developer, technical consultant, product manager and VP of engineering.
The University of Wyoming MBA program hosts the Executive Speaker Series each month, featuring industry leaders from across the nation. This experiential learning opportunity provides students with a strong network of individuals who share their business wisdom and open the door to many employment and mentorship opportunities. As part of the Executive Speaker Series, students also participate in on-site visits to a number of regional companies.
