    Everything You Need to Know About UW Commencement

    Hey Pokes!

    Graduation is right around the corner, and many of you are probably wondering what to do when that day arrives. So, here are some helpful hints to help you navigate this huge milestone!

    To Start Things Off:

    • Graduation Commencement is Saturday, May 14 for all University of Wyoming students, including Outreach.

    • UW at Casper Commencement is Thursday, May 12

    Quick Tips:

    • Students should arrive 45 minutes to an hour early.

    • Parking is available, but limited so plan ahead and arrive early enough to grab a spot. *

    • Tell your family to take advantage of shuttle services! Information for pick up times can be found on the Commencement Parking and Shuttle map. **

    • Gowns are rentals, be sure to return them on time to avoid late fees!

      • On May 14 and 15, they can be returned in the Senate Chambers

      • On May 16, collections will take place in the University Store

    • Be sure to check your email frequently for Graduation information from the University!

    Transit & Parking Services will only be enforcing major violations and the 30 minute loading/unloading zones along King Street on May 13th and 14th. Major violations include yellow zones, fire lanes, Universal Accessibility Symbolaccessible spaces, "U" spaces, and other specially marked reserved spaces. Parking in a regular parking space without a parking permit is perfectly acceptable. Questions? Please call 307-766-9800 for more information.

     After Graduation

    SafeRideStraight.jpgGraduation is a time for celebration, but remember to stay safe! SafeRide is an on-call public transportation service that operates late nights on the weekends to offer nonjudgmental "safe" rides home. Rides are offered to UW students, faculty, staff, and Laramie community members and visitors.
