The Centennial of the Bells, Chimes, and Clock at St. Matthew's Cathedral

    September 11, 2017

If you attended the University of Wyoming anytime after 1917 you remember the clock and the chimes ringing daily from the tower of St. Matthew's Cathedral in downtown Laramie.

This month is the Centennial of the bells being played for the very first time.

Saturday, September 16 at 11 a.m and Sunday, September 17 at 4 p.m. a brief program and short concert will be played on the bell and chimes. The concert will include selections from the original dedication programs as well as "Ragtime Cowboy Joe", "Home on the Range", and "America." If you're coming to Laramie for the Wyoming vs. Oregon game, the Saturday program has been scheduled in the late morning to allow you to come downtown and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime short event. Join us on the lawn or listen from your vehicle.
