The Best Part About Being a College of Business Student

    October 18, 2016

The University of Wyoming College of Business is an excellent school without a doubt. With leading faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and the prestigious AACSB accreditation the COB has a lot to offer students. But don’t just take our word for it, we asked students around the college what the best part of being a College of Business student is for them.

    The Career Opportunities

With resources like the Johnson Career Center available to help students through every step of preparation for the job and internship process and everything that comes after, COB students have all the tools they need to succeed in the career they strive for.

“I think that all of the career opportunities available to us is probably the best thing about being a College of Business student,” Jordan Cutler, a junior finance and economics major said.

    The Professors

“I think we have some of the best teachers here,” Kasey Riddle, a senior business economics major said. “They’re always really helpful and they are there to help you be successful. They have your future in mind.”

Our College of Business professors have real-world experience that they bring to their students. Our faculty range from established researchers to successful entrepreneurs and all of them want to see you succeed in what you do.

Jessica Morrow, a junior marketing and management major, had a similar opinion, “I would say that the professors here are not only my professors but also my mentors and friends. The faculty and staff here are what make this university above the rest.”

    The Willingness to Help

Advisors for both your classes and your career are available throughout the semester, no matter the question.

“The availability for advisors and help, and not only for classes,” Tori Dahlstrom, a senior economics and finance major said. “Any professor is willing to help you with anything at any time.”

    The Exchange Programs

“Probably the exchange programs,” Daniel Knievel, a sophomore finance major said. “The opportunities and funding available to students are really great, I really appreciate the options provided to me.”

Scholarships are available specifically to help COB students study abroad and the college even has its own exchange program with Pforzheim University in Germany. Each year up to three students are chosen to study at Pforzheim for the spring semester with all expenses paid up to $5000.
