    Thank You Scholarship Club Contributors

    January 19, 2018

We regularly hear from our alumni that they are proud of and value that the UWAA supports students through our scholarship program. Prospective students, likewise, appreciate the opportunity to compete for these scholarships each year and their interest continues to grow. For the 2018-19 academic year, we received applications from 1,283 students interested in continuing their education at the University of Wyoming. This number represents an increase of 14% from 2017-18 applications. By mid-February, we will make new awards to over to 50 of these students. Therefore, for the 2018-19 academic year, we will provide financial aid to over 135 students totaling a record $223,250 from the UW Alumni Association.

Since 1906, the UW Alumni Association has been investing in the legacy of students - equipping them to carry the torch of UW pride, knowledge and innovation forward to future generations. Our scholarship program continues to grow because of generous donors to the Scholarship Club, supporters of the annual scholarship reception and auction, and UW alumni and friends who sport the gold Wyoming license plates on their vehicles. Thank you!

Again, we sincerely appreciate all of you who have made these awards possible.
