    How to Apply to the University of Wyoming

    It's now the time to apply at the University of Wyoming! Here are five steps to ensure your application experience is smooth sailing.


    1) Apply to UW today!

    Go to uwyo.edu/apply, click on First Year Students and then click Apply today!

    *Make sure to have your high school transcript with you as you will need to list the courses taken and the grades earned during the application process.

     

    2) High School Transcript

    Request an official transcript be sent to UW from your high school or community college. Transcripts should be sent to:

    UW Admissions
    1000 E. University Avenue, Department 3435
    Laramie, WY   82071-2000

     

    3) Send ACT/SAT Exam Scores to UW

    •  Retake the exam if you are hoping for a higher score
    •  UW’s ACT Code is 5006/UW’s SAT Code is 4855

    5)  FAFSA 

    The opening date for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been moved all the way back to Oct. 1. This means that you can take care of your financial aid requirements earlier and move on to applying for scholarships more quickly.

    • UW FAFSA Code is: 003932
    • FAFSA has an earlier start date so submit your FAFSA beginning October 1 and use the 2015 tax information.
    • Make sure to get this done soon as possible - it is important so that families can be considered for possible state and federal financial aid and any additional UW scholarships.
