So you’re looking into applying to the University of Wyoming and declaring a major in the College of Business? That’s great!
You want a little more information about what our numbers for students look like every year though? That’s good, because we have that information for you!
Below is data about our fall 2017 incoming student class that will answer your questions about what our college looks like:
This fall, 56% of our incoming COB students were from Wyoming, 39% were from out of state, and 5% of students were from other countries.
With such a large out of state population, where are students from?
While many of our students are from the Rocky Mountain Region, our College of Business has students from all around the United States. This incoming freshman class represents 22 states!
What is the actual make up of these students entering the College of Business?
This fall, we had 170 first time students join us at the College of Business; 72 students transferred, either from another school or perhaps from another UW College; 23 of our incoming students were returning to UW after taking time off; and 7 students are visiting us while on exchange from other countries!
I’m sure I want to study business, but I’m not sure what program of study I want to choose.\
You are not alone in being unsure of what to study. In fact, from our fall 2017 incoming students, 127 were unsure as well. The good news is that every College of Business student takes the same core curriculum as an underclassman, exposing you to all areas of business. These classes will help you learn more about each field and help you chose your major!
